Leaving Your Comfort Zone

                                                    Abstract Garden, Oil, 10 x 12

How often have you tried something new, only to give it up and go back to what feels easier? Those comfortable old slippers always feel better than a new pair of shoes that need to be broken in. Sticking with the "something new" can become comfortable after a while when we stick to it and learn how to fit it in our "normal".
Painting a new style requires patience and persistance on my part. It doesn't come easy sometimes and I really have to make an effort. But, it's good for all of us to try something new, something not our "normal". Keeps things fresh and makes our brain create new pathways, so they say.
So, try something new in your creativity. It's good for you!
